Bangkok Giardiniera (Mixed Vegetable Pickle)
Our Bangkok version of the classic Italian ‘giardiniera’ mixed pickle
The name more or less means “from the garden”; where whatever vegetables are currently growing in the garden are pickled in a vinegar-brine with bay leaves and black peppercorns. Our take on that Italian classic uses a carefully selected spice blend and house-infused vinegar, with a vegetable medley of cauliflower, carrots, celery, green beans, red peppers, onion and garlic. All locally grown.
We also decided to make it a little bit spicier, because we live in Bangkok. Pickled in a vinegar-brine on the day of harvest to lock in that fresh vegetable-crunch. Unpasteurized to retain all flavors and nutrients. Perfect on sandwiched, in salads, or chopped-up into the most amazing relish.
This product is 100% natural and unpasteurized, it should be kept refrigerated before and after opening.
Can be kept refrigerated for approximately a year.

BAG CUSTOMERS: Please note that our bags are not meant for long-term storage, we recommend transferring the content to jars or tupperware to prevent the top layer from drying out, which can result in harmful bacteria growth. If you want to keep the product bagged, flip it regularly to make sure the content stays moist. This is especially important with our fermented products.
Bags with kimchi and sauerkraut can in some cases swell up with fermentation gas; if you want to continue storing the product bagged, puncture it with a needle and let the gas out to prevent it from exploding, then use tape to re-seal. As our products are raw/unpasteurized, they continue to slowly release fermentation gas, even after refrigerated.
