Pickled Beetroot (Sugar-Free)

Ancient texts mention beetroot as growing in the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. In Greek mythology, Aphrodite ate them to enhance her appeal. Beets are dense with nutrients; including potassium, betaine, magnesium, folate, and vitamin C. They also contain a good dose of nitrates, which can help reduce blood pressure and anemia, improve circulation and cognitive function.
Our sweet and vibrant beetroot is locally grown. Boiled, sliced and pickled in vinegar on the day of harvest. Unpasteurized to retain all flavors and nutrients. The deep earthy flavor goes perfectly in Mediterranean-style salads, with potato hash, not to mention it’s a key ingredient on Aussie-style burgers.
NOTE! Our sugar-free products are sweetened with stevia, they contain no refined sugar.
This product is 100% natural and unpasteurized, it should be kept refrigerated before and after opening.
Can be kept refrigerated for approximately a year.

BAG CUSTOMERS: Please note that our bags are not meant for long-term storage, we recommend transferring the content to jars or tupperware to prevent the top layer from drying out, which can result in harmful bacteria growth. If you want to keep the product bagged, flip it regularly to make sure the content stays moist. This is especially important with our fermented products.
Bags with kimchi and sauerkraut can in some cases swell up with fermentation gas; if you want to continue storing the product bagged, puncture it with a needle and let the gas out to prevent it from exploding, then use tape to re-seal. As our products are raw/unpasteurized, they continue to slowly release fermentation gas, even after refrigerated.
