Delicious homemade pickle relish served with hotdog
We have the perfect recipe for a delicious lunch or lazy dinner. Homemade pickle relish using our products served with hotdog in a bun.
Since we experiened that hotdogs are the latest hype at the moment, we thought that we had to do something with it. We are not the Serial pickler if we do not add grilled pickle relish to this hotdog recipe. They come in all sizes and with different sauces, that we thought that we could do the same. after searching for several recepice, we agreed that there was not a perfect one yet! So we started experimenting and were tasting the several creations with our team. After several vote rounds we discovered this recipe of hotdog with grilled pickles was perfect!
To make this recipe you will need our garlic dill pickles and of course hotdogs. We found really good quality hotdogs from Villa Market together with their hotdog buns. Of course, you can use any hotdog brand that you like. You can even use normal buns in this recipe.

Hotdog with Grilled Pickle Relish

Ingredients
- 4 Classic Garlic Dill Pickles (sliced lengthwise)
- 2 tbsp Canola Oil
- 1 cup White Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup White Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- 2 Parsley Finely Chopped
- 8 Hot Dogs
- 8 Hot Dog Buns
Instructions
- Light a grill or preheat a grill pan. Grill the pickle slices over high heat, turning once, until lightly charred on both sides (3-5 mins). Transfer to a work surface to cool, then dice.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the oil. Add the onion and a generous pinch of salt. Cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally until soft.
- Add the vinegar, sugar and mustard seeds and simmer for 5 mins. Remove from the heat and stir in the pickles; let cool completely. Fold in the parsley and season with salt.
- Relight your grill or heat the grill pan. Grill the hot dogs over moderate heat, turning occasionally, until cooked through. Serve the hot dogs in the buns with the relish.
